One More Glass, One More Story: The Gatherings That Inspired Natalia's Rustic Kitchen

Some of our favorite evenings were never really planned.

What started as a simple dinner with friends would somehow stretch for hours. Someone would open a bottle of wine. Dinner would turn into dessert, dessert into coffee, and before anyone realized it, the evening had taken on a life of its own.

After years in corporate life, where days felt rushed and weeks seemed to disappear, gathering around a table became our way of slowing down.

Over time, our home became a regular gathering place for family, friends, former officemates, and the occasional friend of a friend who quickly became part of the group.

Many of those evenings turned into what we jokingly called our "whine fests" — long conversations, good food, a bottle or two of wine, and stories about work, travel, family, and everything in between.

One story would lead to another. One glass would become one more. More than once, midnight came and went, and we skipped saying goodnight altogether and went straight to breakfast.

While Miguel focused on making sure everyone was well-fed, I found myself paying attention to something else: how people felt around the table.

I wanted everyone to feel comfortable, whether they were meeting the group for the first time or had been part of it for years. Because while good food brings people together, it's the atmosphere that makes them stay.

Looking back, those evenings shaped Natalia's Rustic Kitchen long before it became a catering business. At its heart, it's simply a reflection of something we've always loved: bringing people together around good food and good company through our catering services for celebrations, corporate events, and intimate gatherings.

Because some of the best memories begin the same way:

One more glass.

One more story.
